Ocean Temperatures

The True Textbook-Defined Signature of Global Warming 

 If there is no temperature rise in the middle of the Troposphere, then there is no global warming.  There was no Tropospheric temperature rise between 1999 and 2016.  This was called the Hiatus (the resting --- the "Global Warming Pause").  

Then certain scientists schemed to find a way to claim that there was no hiatus between 1999-2016, as if scientists didn't get smart until 2017.  They literally claimed that there was accumulated heat hiding in the oceans.   Stop here.   Penalty Flag Time.   Insult to the Intelligence.  Let's go through the steps that will dispel the deception:

Let's begin with the thesis statement that appears at the bottom of this discourse.  As to the assertion of scientists in need of Congressional funding & Al Gore's approval, in their claim that there is heat from the burning of fossil fuels hidden in the oceans in mass quantities (or even in little quantities):

"That is super easy to prove as a total falsehood via ===>

1 - the oceans' Latent Heat of Vaporization Mechanism, followed by advection (wind transferring the heat horizontally, as opposed to vertically as happens in convection)

2- the 7,000-to-9,000 foot deep Aphotic Zone in every ocean (other than the Arctic and its 653 foot zone), along with the half-mile deep Dysphotic Zone in every ocean.

3- the absence of finding any pronounced, Godzilla-sized, ocean surface temperature "anomalies" that go beyond one season in time --- or even five days,

4- and tourists flocking to the oceans every Summer for the sake of the cool ocean breezes, along with tourists going on Love Boat type ocean cruises.  Not very many customer complaints there.  Simply ask the cruise-line operators.

There is a fifth observation:  It's the coastline real estate industry.  People are still buying shoreline property.  They have no buyer's remorse in any mass scale.  

The oceans are supposed to be relentlessly heating and the sea level is supposed to be elevating to a catastrophic height.  But, the real estate industry that deals in shorelines and oceanside residences have been doing robust business for decades.  The residents should have noticed something wrong by now, causing them to leave for inland property.  Seaside property has been a sign of prestige for decades.

The four predominate features can be called the Four Horsemen of Reality, assuring the reasonable person that there was no "carbon foot-printed Global Warming" filling any of the oceans during the Global Warming Hiatus of 1999 to 2016.  There simply was a stop in the increase of global atmospheric temperatures during that time span.   And there was fraud being committed by the people associated with the East Anglia office.  Yes, a roomful of scientists & politicians can easily be (or become) a den of thieves.

Seasons, Mathematics, and suspect data tampering

Now, a year might have a hot Summer, but not below-average Winter temps, meaning that four seasons might statistically balance each other.  Just because you have a hot Summer, it doesn't indicate temperature in the Mid-Troposphere.

Then comes sleight-of-hand reporting, instead the straight forward type.  A report might start with the end of Winter, claiming Winter to have ended higher than normal.  The average reader would assume that the entire Winter was higher than normal, when the fact in one specific case was that the rest of the Winter season made all of Winter colder than the year previous.  

All in all, there is this intolerable pea-and-shell game with the truth.  Government employees want to make the climate look in peril, so that their departments will get more Congressional funding.  In as much . . .

The only people who should be allowed to participate in a climate debate are those paid zero dollars and zero cents in any activities related to climate.  An individual highly paid by "carbon credit" commissions or government funding money has a conflict of interest that morally disqualifies him/her from the conversation.  Such an individual cannot be enabled to insert manipulative propaganda under the guise of scientific fact.  

Some of that manipulative propaganda involved "misplacing" data numbers and "graph shifting."  Thus, if you make money claiming that human activity causes catastrophic climate change, you're disqualified.  If you make money claiming that human activity does not do such a thing, then you too are disqualified.  

For the record, as of the time of this writing, September 25, 2022, I was never paid a penny for anything concerning this subject, this topic, this issue.  All of these 24 or 25 or 26 written climate discourses thus far have been one public service, done entirely for free.  I don't even get advertising fee commissions, at present ... and in the past.

Let us begin with the atmospheric science aspect of this issue: 

The United States National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration recognizes that ===>  

>Functionally Effective Sunlight does NOT penetrate the oceans any deeper than 656 feet.   This layer of ocean water is known as the Euphotic Zone.  From the 656 foot point downward, photosynthesis is impossible.  So, throughout an added depth of 2,624 feet (which is directly below the Euphotic Zone), the descending sunlight becomes increasingly darker.  The twilight layer of an ocean is the Dysphotic Zone, and its lowest depth is about a half mile from the ocean surface.   This means that a vast liquid area gets colder and colder as depth/descent continues. No Global Warming there.

>Below the Dysphotic Zone line there is no light at all, and this super deep chamber of ocean is called the Aphotic Zone.  It begins at the 3,280 feet mark below the ocean surface.  The Aphotic Zone is marked by darkness and 39F of cold, until one reaches the bottom of the ocean where "hot spot" volcanoes, aka hydrothermal vents, are the sum total of the ocean floors' heating system.  

The ocean floors are chemosynthesis country, where life abounds all-around these vents, with none of the organisms living on photosynthesis.  At the ocean floors, there still is darkness.

Remember, remember, remember:  CO2 has no heating power in the dark of the ocean, and it has insignificantly feeble power in the Dysphotic Zone of every ocean, proven by the coldness there.  Even at that, co2's heating power (which is a very minor role for the Earth's atmosphere) consists in "retaining" ("capturing") infrared light. As a solid and as a liquid, CO2 itself is actually used in the commercial world as a . . . refrigerant.  Welcome to the world of irony.

The questions that remain of heat in the oceans, which is not spreading into the more spacious cold areas of the oceans, are for exploratory research groups.  The questions would involve learning if there is any other feature from sunlight that would contribute to providing heat to the oceans.  

This would include Coronal Mass Ejections and the by-products of the solar wind, as in Alfven Waves and other cosmic undulations.  There is also the Chromosphere and Photosphere, in addition to the Sun's Corona.

Researching the Earth's Mantle wouldn't hurt, either.  None the less, it was completely fraudulent to have claimed that 70% of "man-made, fossil-fuel" heat was/is "soaked-up" by the oceans.  The vast cold of the oceans prove otherwise.  Time has illustrated that an office filled with scientists and politicians is often nothing more than a den of thieves ... and deliberate liars.

>Moreover, at the depth of 660 feet, directly below the Euphotic Zone, the ocean's Temperature drastically decreases, to approximately 55 degrees F (13C).  This spot in each ocean is called the Thermocline, and when traveling past this depth, the temperature decreases to approximately 39 degrees F (4C). 

This 39F is the temperature of the rest of each ocean ... throughout the descent to the ocean floors.  Incidentally, the ocean floor hydrovents exist where the tectonic plates of two continents are spreading apart, usually.  Their behavior is tamed, because of the massive weight of a massive ocean basin above.

Concerning the oceans' hydrostatic pressure, for every 33 feet of descent, the pressure increases by one Atmosphere.  One atmosphere is equal to 1,013 millibars.  This is 14.69 psi (pounds per square inch), and that's the standard atmospheric air pressure of the surface of the Earth, at sea level.

Sunlight's Shallow Reach

Then there is the matter of sunlight upon the ocean surfaces.  Not very much of it bounces off of the ocean surfaces and rockets back into outer-space.  It's the opposite of sunlight hitting snowscapes.  None the less, the existence of Specific Latent Heat of Vaporization is the heating system provided by the ocean, at its general surface area.  This mechanism very effectively rids the ocean's first layer of overly-accumulated heat.

Remember, sunlight does not rocket through any ocean, as it slowly degrades in intensity, until it reaches the 656 foot depth of any ocean.  That's not very much space for oceans that are 10,000+, 12,000+, and 13,000 feet in average depth.  And it's not very much at all, for the ocean trenches that dip to 28,000 and 35,000 foot depths.  Thus, it is a falsehood to claim that oceans are anywhere close to being the vast heat depositories that the European Union claimed.  

The surmise is that, when ocean temperatures do rise, they only slowly rise as a result of heat from the ocean floor ... from hydrothermal vents "aka hot spots" which can reach 700F.  This includes, as a source, the Earth's mantle seeping through tectonic plates that are in the slow process of sliding apart from each other.  

Everyone's Similar Personal Experience 

The author of this Blue Marble Album lived at the Atlantic Ocean's shoreline for the majority of 10 consecutive years.  There's one experience with the Summertime ocean that he noticed and took for granted.  It's the reason why so many people vacation at the ocean.  Very simply, it's the cool breezes coming from oceans during daylight that make oceans a preferred vacation destination.  It's like a really big fan operating in the distance.  It's quit nice, actually.

Likewise, the winds from the Atlantic during Wintertime were irritatingly chilly.   No bargain there.

The fact that so many people vacation at the ocean is evidence that the oceans weren't heating-up as apocalyptically as advertised.  The ocean was perceived as being a relief from the heat, by aspiring vacationers.

Concerning the author of this Blue Marble Album, every summer day at that particular Atlantic Shoreline was between 93F and 97F, with the temperature never reaching 100F and not very often being warmer than inland towns which did regularly reach and exceed 100F.  

Ten consecutive years of experience can assure you that there was no true increase in ocean temperatures being felt by any tourist or resident.  The temperature increases were only in the tampered government paperwork ... as in the "homogenized" temperature graphs of the NOAA.  That is to say that there was only an increase of ocean temperatures on paper, by those who made their money claiming that such temperature increases existed ... and claiming so, for an increase of taxpayer dollar allocations to the scientists' aforesaid department. 

Do you remember when the Pentagon officially stated that the Arctic Ocean stood a good chance of entirely melting at the end of each Summer, followed by the Russia Navy sailing through the Arctic, into Novia Scotia and New England, thereby invading and conquering America?  

Well, its managers wrote it, in the hopes to inspire the US Congress to give the US military increased government funding.  You see, after the Cold War, the US Congress decreased the military budget, and the Obama administration was portrayed as a peacetime presidency that was going to undo the Bush/Cheney war machine.  So, the US military decided to ... to ... to lie to the American taxpayers they swore to defend ... and to reach into the American taxpayers' pockets more deeply. 

Pycnocline

Concerning the rise in heat from the ocean floor, there is a line in each ocean called the Pycnocline.  It's like a gate that's not always locked.

Now, there was the matter of the 2018 "Resplendy-Keeling Paper," authored by Ralph Keeling's team and not by the Dr Charles Keeling of the 1950s.  It was actually called, the Resplandy Research Group Paper.  None the less, the 2018 paper claimed that oceans heated 60% more rapidly than previously realized.  The paper's subject matter was regarded as "startling," and the media heralded it as the smoking gun which absolutely proved the existence of a "climate crisis."  

Within two weeks of time, a mathematically inclined gentleman associated with a Georgia Tech atmospheric science professor discovered decisive mathematical errors in the Ocean Warming Paper.  This discovery negated the entire conclusion of the paper.  A Nicholas Lewis found the errors.  

In sequence, one of the 2018 paper's co-authors publicly admitted the errors, as did the prestigious publisher of the paper.  However, any retractions from the rest of the American media could not be located. 

None the less, at the outset of the study, it was obvious that the paper's thesis statement was a falsehood.  This is because it contradicted a well known scientific fact involving Seas Breezes and Land Breezes.  

Very simply, a change of temperature at any of the oceans is much more slowly accomplished than is the change of temperature at any land surface.  And being that there was no long-term (or even short-term) 60% rate increase in non-polar land surface temperatures anywhere, there surely would not be this phenomenon at the oceans.  Thus, the Keeling Paper (aka the Resplandy Paper) was guaranteed to be marked with error.

Moreover, the invalidated "peer reviewed" paper was contrary to the mechanism of the Specific Latent Heat of Vaporization which is explained in an introductory fashion below.  It involves atmospheric Heat Transfer.

Mathematician's Statement :::  Major Problem with Ocean Heat Uptake Paper 

The general rule is that ======> Planet Earth and its oceans are designed to proliferate the TRANSFER OF HEAT; and not to hoard heat. 

In addition:  No sunlight = No Infrared Light = No co2 absorbing infrared heat which would only have ended up in the middle latitudes via the Latent Heat of Vaporization Mechanism, anyway.

The reality is that the oceans are NOT vaults of co2-captured-heat or any other kind of heat coming from the atmosphere.  The oceans are liquid spring boards that create LATENT HEAT that turns into a vapor, while simultaneously rising out of the oceans, getting caught in a wind, and then traveling to the colder latitudes of Planet Earth, thereby accomplishing its mission of Heat Transfer.

The Latent Heat Mechanism of oceans" tropic & sub-tropic zones involves the RELEASE of heat ... not the absorption of it.   Obama was such a liar, in using the oceans as an excuse for the evident cessation of Atmospheric Global Warming,  and there surely was not any "ocean global warming."  Yet, President Goldman-Sachs Obama, the Drone Strike President, had to designate the key to all life-giving photosynthesis as a pollutant --- as an unwelcome nuisance instead of as the proliferation of life on Earth.

Obama owns a mansion at the Atlantic Coastline, within walking distance of the shoreline, three feet above sea level.  This is his message to the world that he did not believe in the assertion that catastrophic sea level rise was soon to prevail.  Yet, he preached this assertion as the decisive issue on Earth.

What Obama needed to acknowledge was that Nuclear Winter is far worse than Global Warming ever could be.

The Equilibrium Reflex of the Atmosphere

Remember, the atmosphere is always trying to achieve equilibrium, and that is what often causes turbulence and epic weather events to occur.  The attempt to balance-out the Earth's weather conditions, counter-intuitively enough, caused epic & tragic weather events.

The atmosphere of a planet, if it has one, is its gaseous envelope surrounding the planet.  The only part of the vast oceans of Earth which is part of the atmosphere is none other than . . . the latent heat which generates from it via vaporization. 

The oceans were being used as an excuse for the failure of the predictions of Jim Hansen, Michael Mann, Al Gore, John Kerry, and others who want the world to believe that a molecular compound that inhabits less than 1/2 of 1% of the atmosphere can control the other 99.95% of the same atmosphere, and then cause the world to heat itself into annihilation.  You've got to be kidding. 

The depth of the Aphotic Zone in the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic Oceans is 9,000+ feet.  The depth of the Southern Ocean's Aphotic Zone is 7,400 feet.  And finally, the depth of the Arctic Ocean's Aphotic Zone is 653 feet.  None of that part of the oceans is hoarding any increase in atmospheric heat, and that happens to be a massive amount of cubic area.  The oceans are not big tea pots.  They are only able to absorb and transport throughout its water basins the heat that comes from the Earth's mantle, via sliding tectonic plates.  

Incidentally, recent scientific discoveries concluded that the heat which ended the Major Ice Age, aka the last Glacial Maximum, came from the bottom of the oceans and eventually made its way into the Earth's Atmosphere.  The length of time that it took for this allocation of heat to occur was said ... by the research crew ... to have taken 1,300 years of rising ... from the oceans.

Concerning this, a pertinent rule goes as follows: 

Firstly, before the Public School System stopped teaching students how to think with numbers & sequential logic, it was commonly known that it takes 100 calories to elevate the temperature of 1 gram of water from its freezing point to its boiling point.  

~Well, it takes 533 or so calories (2230-2235 joules) to turn a gram of water at 100 degrees Celsius to a gram of vapor at 100 degrees Celsius. It takes much more energy to vaporize something than to melt it.  That's the essence of Latent Heat, and that seems very logical in a science that often seems very counter-intuitive. 

The Number 1 implication of this scientific axiom is that the oceans do NOT have the surplus of caloric energy needed to be hoarding the insane amount of heat that the Barrack Obamas of this world, the Resplendys of this world, the Bill Nyes of this world, and the Keelings of this world claimed that it was hoarding.   The Global Warming Pause of 1999 to 2016 was 100% real ... 100%  true ... 100% authentic.  Period.  

Incidentally, it takes 80 calories of latent heat dispersion to turn a solid like ice into a liquid like water . . . per gram, of course.

There is also the matter of Latent Heat of Condensation:  That's the released heat that turns vapor into liquid ... as when atmospheric water vapor becomes morning dew.  On land, water vapor is affected by lowered nighttime temperatures, resulting in dew being seen in the morning.

Latent heat is released heat that does NOT change the temperature of the material involved.  The released heat only changes the STATE (aka the PHASE) of the material/substance involved.  When measuring condensation, it's basically the Latent Heat of Vaporization with a negative sign placed in front of the number.  Vaporization and condensation have an inverse relationship, as do two things known as:

Sublimation and Deposition.

Sublimation is when a solid turns into a gas without first becoming a liquid.  Deposition is when a gas becomes a solid without first becoming a liquid.  So stated for the record.  For a solid such as ice to turn into vapor, without first turning into liquid, 720 calories is required ... per gram.  Sunlight can provide this. 

Incidentally, Latent Heat activity achieves the objective of loosening molecular bonds within a substance/material, thereby widening inter-molecular space within.  After all, a solid is tight, and a gas is loose

In as much, you studying "the latent heat of the vaporization of water" (for starters) will take you out of the dark.

The bottom line is that there is a difference between the Heat of Vaporization and Temperature per se (Sensible Heat).  The heat of vaporization has a mission of turning water into a vapor which will end up in the colder latitudes of Planet Earth.  This is the foundation of the Transfer of Heat throughout the spherical Earth.

Temperature-Per-Se (sensible heat), on the other hand, is mostly understood as a steady state routine, especially as it applies to ocean water, being that land temperatures change more rapidly than any ocean water does.   

Q: And why does ocean water temperature change more slowly?

ANS 1:  Air is more flexible than water.

ANS 2:  The pressure remains predominately unchanged in its predictable rate of increase and decrease with ocean water level; much like the adiabatic rate with air temperature.  Water pressure only changes by the change of location downward or upward. Air pressure changes come to you.  This includes the arrival of hurricanes.  Air pressure can become intensely turbulent ... not by the increase in pressure, but by the decreasing of it.  Deadly hurricanes are low pressure systems.

Both water and air pressure follow the rule of the Coriolis Effect, however.  Concerning water, it's called Eckman Transport, and it travels downward in the ocean like an angular spiral staircase.

BTW, there is a difference between steam and boiling water. The only similarity between the two is that neither one is occurring at the oceans' surfaces, as John Kerry & Barrack Obama would want you to believe.

The Heat of vaporization sounds more active and energetic. In contrast, temperature per se (Sensible Heat) preserves something.  Meanwhile, the heat of vaporization changes something.  Thus, a steady state temperature of the ocean is the science of statics, while the heat of vaporization is the science of dynamics. 

Q: Now, why are ocean vapors instinctively traveling to the temperate zones, above the Tropics?  

ANS:  In both Hemispheres, from the Latitude 40 degrees to the Pole, more heat exits Planet Earth's atmosphere into outer-space than enters the Earth's atmosphere from the same outer-space . . . 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Ocean vapor travel is the natural attempt to equalize the Earth's atmospheric temperature throughout the planet.  It prevents a snowball Earth.

The cessation in atmospheric temperature rise is the reason why the East Anglia scientists and pro-Al Gore people changed the name of "Global Warming" to "Climate Change."  The fact that the title, Global Warming, was changed to, Climate Change, is evidence that the scientists knew that there was NO GLOBAL WARMING from 1999 to 2016.  Such persons are known as frauds, and anyone who accepts money based on a fraud is known as a thief.  There are remedies in civilization for theft, especially Grand Larceny.  Do the math herein.

Now, various agencies claim that the oceans have great capacities to hold heat, especially "man-made" industrial heat.  This makes it sound as if the heat remains in the oceans for decades.  Well, whatever heat does find its way to the ocean surface quickly gets jetted out into the air via the Latent Heat of Vaporization Mechanism.  

Thus, if the oceans were holding tremendous amounts of man-made heat, then we all would have noticed it in atmospheric temperature "anomaly" rises that remained constant, and not merely being something seasonal --- such as Summertime.  Record cold weather was repeatedly being experienced, from Australia to Niagara Falls, and from Brazil to Nova Scotia, as of recent.

Look at it this was:  Simply because a cop wears a badge, it doesn't mean that he is a just & honest man, especially as was the case in the American Segregation South, in 20th Century South Africa, in Nazi Germany, in Latin American dictatorships, in Leopold's Belgian colonies, in the Court of Oyer (Salem witch trials), and in the good old USSR.  Likewise, simply because a guy is wearing a lab coat, it doesn't make him honest, especially when he is in dire need of Congressional funding, or NGO donations, or even grass-roots donations.  

People have lied to gain power and money, whether they succeeded in their attempts or not.  Look at Peter the Great's sister, for example ... and thousands of other people.  Sometimes the lying occurred with a badge or a lab coat or a crown.  Scientists need to be vetted and audited.

All in all, other things trigger hurricanes ... not the molecular compound which inhabits less than 1/2 of 1% of the Earth's Atmosphere and which has a night-light's radiative forcing of 3.7 watts per meter squared.  CO2 does NOT drive the other 99.95% of Planet Earth's atmosphere.  

Now, if you insist that greenhouse gases trigger turbulent weather, then you must concede that the only greenhouse gas that has any power do to such a thing is WATER VAPOR only.   CO2 is NOT the Big Bad Wolf.  It's Plant Nectar ... plant food ... plant fertilizer.  CO2 is Pygmalion giving life to a sculpture, on a molecular scale.

None the less, the answer to Barrack Obama, as he sits in his oceanside mansion, is this:  

If the oceans were hoarding the heat that was absent from the atmosphere during the 1999 to 2016 era, then there was no Heat Transfer occurring throughout Planet Earth, being that the oceans were sitting on the heat.  If there had been no Heat Transfer occurring between 1999 and 2016, then the Great Lakes would have been turned into glaciers ... for starters.  

Then there would have been the matter of Lake Champlain, the Hudson Bay, the Boston River, the Allegheny River, the Ohio River, the Missouri River, the Snake River, the Colorado River, as well as Niagara Falls.   In general, it would have been Ice Cube City.  Therefore Barrack, you are a liar.  Typical for a politician sitting in a seaside mansion.

The over-riding intent of this post is to remind the under-informed public that the Number #1 environmental mission is to rescue humanity from the effects of unfiltered SYNTHETICAL CHEMICALS & the such.  This includes [1] Forever Chemicals, [2] certain petro-chemicals, [3] Sulfur Hexaflouride, [4] hormone disruptor chemicals, [5] clastogen chemicals, [6] respiratory sensitizers, [7] dermal sensitizers, [8] respiratory irritants, [9] hepato-toxins --- aka liver cell killers --- such as certain P-450 cytochrome inducers.  And of course, there is also the matter of [10] carcinogenic chemicals to address.  In summary, co2 is your friend.  To sabotage co2 is to sabotage Life on Earth.  (BTW, a clastogen is a molecular substance that severs DNA strands.) 

The Mirror Image of Time

It's Deja Vu Time, 117 years later in one instance, 122 years later in another instance, and 145 years later in yet another one.  Directly below is a 1906 newspaper article that reads a lot like an internet post of today.  It highlights an individual who would be disrespectfully called a climate denier, by the useful idiots of Al Gore & Michael Mann.  In 1906, he was regarded as a Harvard University assistant professor of climatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.

His name was Robert DeCourcy Ward, and his task was to assure people that no weather event of any type that was transpiring in the early 1900s was part of any apocalyptic package.   History repeats itself, even when it comes to weather events.  This includes heat waves.  This includes mild winters.  This also includes droughts, Chinook Winds, Foehn Winds, cold snaps, blizzards, floods, cyclones, tornadoes, deadly air stagnation, dust storms, ice stacking, glacial melt, glacial gain, and algae blooms that date 

back to Ponce de Leon.  Additional evidence is included herein, dating back to publications of 1901 & 1878, to prove the aforementioned point.

The only difference in today's climate and that which transpired from the late 19th to the mid-20th Century is that the weather events of the past were often (but not always) more intense, and many more people died from them.  Some of the weather events were epic, in as far as went the death toll and the time duration of the disasters, as well as water weight ... and even water height.  

Some of the disasters have already been stated in a list at this Blue Marble Album.  Enough of them were listed at this site, to prove a point.  The point is that Al Gore, David Attenborough, and Michael Mann are blatant liars.  The other point to prove is that Americans and Europeans are very easy to deceive, due to the arrangement of power & influence in the modern world.  

For those unaware, David Attenborough and Michael Mann both publicly stated that the weather was mild for the past one thousand years, until the Industrial Revolution advanced in Europe & America.  However, the Hunger Stones of Central Europe's Elbe River, alone, proves this assertion to be a sick joke.  There were numerous natural disasters, sometimes on a massive scale, in the past thousand years.  It all happened while atmosphere co2 was at a very low level.  Many disasters are already cited at this Blue Marble Album.  That's why there's a search box at the top righthand corner of this site.

Climate is cyclical.  Every type of weather event that transpired in the past 3 years, past 30 years, and even in the past 130 years has repeatedly occurred before --- within intervals of time.  In fact, the Hunger Stones in Central Europe's Elbe River attest to the revisitation of disastrous droughts throughout multiple centuries that each had very low atmospheric co2 numbers.  Yet, in 2016, as if she never read a history book in her life, Sigourney Weaver went on live network television and spoke of recent storms and other weather events, by concluding that, "This we have never seen before."  She was completely out of touch with historic fact.  See for yourself. 

Let us confirm that the weather was brutal 122 to 133 years ago, when the atmospheric co2 count was quite low.  Below is a 1901 newspaper article that gives some details on what life was like, during the heated years that transpired over a century ago.  

Below:  A deja vu of 122 years ago.  Even when it comes to weather events, history repeats itself.  That which transpired in the land of my ancestors in July of 2023 transpired there 122 years prior, when my ancestors were actually living there.  It occurred during several other years too, in intervals of time.

The Global Warming Scare simply replaced the Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction Scare

The claim that climate today is unprecedentedly brutal and is quickly driving us toward the End of the World is a sophomoric con game designed to obtain billions of American taxpayer dollars and millions of NGO grants.  Atmospheric Science is intricate & involved.  It cannot be written off as a simpleton's subject the way in which Al Gore presented it in his very non-factual 2006 movie.  

The first gamble of the Climate Scam people was that you would be too lazy to confirm their doomsday assertions and familiarize yourself with basic weather theory ... or at the very least ... familiarize yourself with weather event history.  

The second gamble was that the mainstream media would help the climate scam people, by hindering all people from presenting to the public the evidence which proves the Al Gore Theory of Climate to be so lacking in bio-markers & climate benchmarks that it was less reliable than a fortune teller's crystal ball.  Limiting all considerations of climate to co2 is a superstition.  It's equivalent to flying a jet without looking at the dashboard of the jet.

             The following description is that of the mindset of the Millennials' Gen Z subset:

They stand upon the very false concept of Weather Gradation.  It's the concept of Accumulative Effect.  It's the idea of a "tipping point."  It's the concept of temperature or rainfall increasing, segment of time by segment of time, until there comes a storm or heatwave or even drought, where a certain number is reached.  That number then qualifies the world as being in a climate crisis. 

This tipping point number would constitute "a turning point" where the climate activists see themselves as having the right to take control of all national governments and rule the world through the UN.  

Weather Gradation ... or Weather's Accumulative Effect .. or the Tipping Point Number ... is the belief that a rise in atmospheric co2 (all one-half of 1% of it) is causing higher temps and longer rains, as well as higher wind speeds which will kill tremendous amounts of humanity.  It's the belief that weather disasters are increasing commensurately with the rise in co2 --- that the frequency of weather disasters are rising parallel to the rise in co2.  This is super easy to prove false.  But, the mainstream media won't let any of the numerous pieces of evidence be seen.

None the less, the actual word that describes "severe weather events" in academic & research venues is ======> Turbulence.  This is where the law of Pressure Gradient Force comes into play, along with Baroclinic Stability/Instability & Barotropic Stability/Instability.  Severe weather is turbulence.

Here is the fatal error in searching for a tipping point event:  Climate is a trend ... NOT a one-time event.  And it certainly is NOT a "once in a thousand year event."  In the recent hyped-up news reports, weather events were placed in the spotlight.  But, none of those events repeated themselves.

Tipping Point Events are one-time only occurrences, as in once every 5, 10, 20, or 30 years.  Politically minded climate activists look for that one weather disaster, so that they can say, "Gotcha."  They believe that one event will give them license to make all energy grids and sources of power illegal.  Then mankind can resort to burning wood and re-polluting the air in mass quantities, as was being done in the 1800s and half of the 20th Century ... before the 1970s filtration systems were installed.  

Being that it's guaranteed that Communist China will NOT comply with the climate activists, coal will become the most used fuel source.  Cityscapes will then be called, Smogscapes.  Activists are not deep thinkers.  They are emotional powder kegs.

Well, in the Summer of 2023, the Bill-Gates-funded media outlets have been hysterically claiming that the Summer temperatures of the Mediterranean have recently risen beyond anything imaginable ... beyond mankind's ability to survive.  They are claiming that the temperatures of 2023 have never happened previously, meaning that the world has reached a turning point, where you must submit to Bill Gates and the climate activists, thereby allowing them to take over the world and rule you without question.

Now for the truth.  

The Summer temps of 2023 are common, when comparing them to the known history of the Mediterranean.  Now, at this Blue Marble Album, it has already been illustrated (with 32 pieces of evidence) that parts of Africa, parts of Spain, parts of Italy, parts of Mexico, etc, have regions where the temperatures are moderate and even mild.  That which needs to be shown now is that the regions where the temperatures are commonly higher --- aka, the Hot Spots --- are presently hovering around the long-term average, in this Year of 2023, for the majority of the days.  A two-week heatwave does NOT define a landmass & its climate.

Very simply, Rome, Madrid, Athens, Beirut, etc, have all seen 100F, 102F, 103F, etc, time and time, again.  In fact, 1964 was the year of a heatwave so severe in Rome that water rationing was ordered by the local government.  And Athens went as high as 118.4F, in 1977.  So too did nearby Elefsina.  Then, in 2003, the southern Portuguese District of Beja went as high as 117.3F.  Greece also endured notable heat in 1955 and 2007.  In fact, Lamia reached 117F in 1973, and Rome reached 109F in 1901.  So, the heat of 2023 is nothing earth-changing for the Mediterranean.

Being that high temperatures are nothing new in Rome ... or Greece ... the media had to become ridiculously unrealistic with its temperature predictions in 2023, so as to ensure that the Body Politic would be a frightened public.  The media claimed that temperatures in Italy were going to reach 110F and 113F.  Well, Italy is a peninsula surrounded by sea breezes, and inland are mountains.  In fact, Italy hosted the 2006 Winter games.  Thus, in Italy there is the matter of altitude in addition to sea breezes.  

Athens is near water, too.  So, how did it reach 118F in 1977?  ANS:  Athens is in the rain shadow of the Prokletije and Pindus mountains.  It's on the Leeward Side thereof.  This translates into "Orthographic Lifting" & "Adiabatic Heating," from time to time.  Adiabatic Heating and Chinook Winds (aka Foehn Winds and Santa Ana Winds) are already explained here, at the Blue Marble Album.

For the Purposes of this Internet Post

The example for here & now is a city well known for hot Summertime temps --- Madrid.  Showing that Madrid's temperatures of ten, twelve, and fourteen years ago are basically the same as in 2023 will shut down the Bill Gates's con game, at least in the minds of people who have not yet been brainwashed by the Climate Hysteria propaganda.

One more thing:  Climate is cyclical ... like the spherical Earth ... actually like a roller coaster.  And and and, that which causes the seasons is the 23.5 degree tilt of the Earth.  Thus, if you want to change the seasons, you have to change the tilt of the Earth ... not the already-low co2 content in the atmosphere.  In as much, 423 parts per million is 1 part per 2,364.  At 3.7 watts per meter squared, while only 2 of its 3 vibrational modes can capture infrared light, co2 is NOT the king of greenhouse gases.  Water Vapor is.  In fact, Water Vapor is the Emperor of Greenhouse Gases.

The blatant proof which shows that co2 in no way drives the climate is found in the deserts on the 30th parallel, north and south.  It shows that water vapor is the determinant of temperature.  It's quite simple to explain.  In a desert, there is only 0.2% of water vapor in the air.  There is 20 times more water vapor in the Tropics.  Now, during daytime, deserts are oppressively hot.  Yet, when night comes, deserts get colder than one would expect.   

This firstly shows that the only true heating source for 30 degree parallel deserts is insolation --- the sun's rays.  If co2 ruled the atmosphere, then those deserts would remain warmer than they usually are at night.  Very simply, they get cold in the dark, sunless hours, because there is no insolation & hardly  any water vapor there.  This always shows the co2 does not have the warming power that Al Gore claimed it did.  CO2 is a catalyst for photosynthesis and the greening of the Earth ... and even the shallow parts of the oceans.  It's not the flamethrower of doom that Al Gore made it out to be.  Atmost, co2 is a back-up singer.  Water Vapor is the headline singer.

Once again, if co2 were a powerful warming agent, then the deserts would be relatively warm at nights.  And if that's the case, the water vapor would be a nuisance causing more warming than is beneficial.  But, the truth is that there is simply not enough co2 in the sky for it to be a heating system.  Thus, the deserts are deprived of heat at night, because that there is only 0.2% water vapor there.   BTW, cloudlessness at night causes what is known as "radiational cooling."

Concerning Madrid, we begin with the last five days in July of 2010.  That was thirteen years ago.  Q: What do you see?  ANS:  Two one-hundred degree Fahrenheit days, a 99F day, a 97F day, and a 93F day. 

BTW, it never goes above freezing on Mt. Kilimanjaro.  The highest temp to expect there is 20F ...  -6.67C.  Mount Kilimanjaro's condition is based on sublimation, and not melting.  Sublimation is already explained at this Blue Marble Album.

Now, the atmospheric co2 level in 2010 was 390.10 ppm.  As of July 16, 2023, the present co2 level is 421.99.  In 2010, the co2 level was 31.8 ppm lower than today.  However, the temperature of July 2010 was NOT tremendously lower than in recent years, generally speaking.  According to Al Gore and Michael Mann, it should have been lower. 

Let's now go to early July 2010, concerning the days July 6 to July 11..  Q: What do you see?  ANS: Three 99F days, one 100 degree Fahrenheit day, a 95F day, and a 91F day.  Is July 2023 much worse than July 2010?

Let's jump to July 17 to July 22, in the Year 2012.  Q: What do you see?   ANS: One one-hundred degree Fahrenheit day, two 99F days, two 95F days, and a 93F day.  Is this much lower than July of 2023?  Is July 2023 much worse than July 2012?

Now for the 4th of July to the 9th of July, 2013.  That was ten years ago.  Q: What do you see?  ANS: One 102 degree Fahrenheit day, one 100F days, two 99F days, and one 97F day.  Now, is this much different than today?  And . . . did the world come to an end after July 2013?

Let's next jump to July 12 to July 17, 2015.  This was eight years ago, when the co2 count was 18.77 ppm LOWER than today.  Q:  What do you see?   ANS: Two 104 degree Fahrenheit days, two 102 degree Fahrenheit days, and two 100 degree Fahrenheit days.  Now, is 2023 any worse than this?  And, was there a mass extinction event in 2015?  

The climate propagandists are acting as if this type of weather didn't start until 2023.  We survived 1878, 1896, 1901, 1911, 1931, 1934, 1936, 1954, 1976, 1988, 2003, 2012 and 2022.  We'll survive 2023.

Now, in 2015, Antarctica had its largest sea ice extent.  The Winter of 2014 was declared the coldest winter in 40 years.  Somewhere around this time was when New Zealand scientists discovered that the bottom of the Ross Ice Shelf was crystalized and NOT smooth.  Smooth is a sign of melting.  Crystalized ice is the opposite.  All in all, climate is as cyclical as a roller coaster.

Let's now proceed to February 18, 1925, when it was reported that the Gulf Stream's temperature rose 3 to 4 degrees "Centigrade" higher than it was in 1900.  Three degrees Centigrade = 5.4 degrees Fahrenheit, and 4 degrees Centigrade = 7.2 degrees Fahrenheit.  Now, certain media outlets regarded it as the eventual end of civilization if the global temperature rose 2.7 degrees Celsius by the end of the 21st Century.  Well, this temperature rise was surpassed in the first 25 years of the 20th Century, in the long-traveling Gulf Stream.

And of course, the early 20th Century temperature increase was as temporary as a rollercoaster ride.  It's simply not noticed anymore, because Michael Mann hid the decline.  The decline he hid was the temperature decline of the 1940s to the late 1970s.  It's the temperature decline clearly posted on the Briffa Temperature graph which has already been addressed & taught at this Blue Marble Album, with a photo of the Briffa graph, itself.  Also reported in 1925 was that glaciers were shrinking at a total length of 3 to 4 miles.  

This 1925 news report looks exactly like the ones of 2023 ... 98 years later.  Climate is a cycle.  Climate repeats itself.  When it comes to weather events, "it" has all been done before --- especially those events which the modern news outlets claim to be unprecedented and new ... or unprecedented and not seen for a thousand years.  In as much, the April 12 Fort Lauderdale rain was seen as recently as 1950 in Tampa, Florida when it rained more than it did on April 12.  

A number of places in 20th Century America had more rainfall in one setting than did Ft. Lauderdale in April of 2023.  This included Pennsylvania, Texas, and California.  And then there are places where it rained as much (or almost as much) as it did on April 12 in Fort Lauderdale. 

Once again, absorb into your mind the fact that this 1925 newspaper article sounds like (looks like) a 2023 report ... or several 2023 reports.  In the grand pattern of earthly existence, nothing has changed.  It's the same old long-term cycles that keep appearing on Planet Earth ... within alternating intervals of time ... over and over again.

Nothing has changed in over 100 years.  Climate is cyclical.  Period.

Greenhouse Gases with very low Numbers, as in 1 part per THREE million, 1.909 parts per one million, and less than one-half of 1% of the atmosphere.

Thesis Statement of the Hour (or day) (or century):  If the world comes to its end within the next "12 years," it will be from Nuclear Winter, and NOT from any type of Global Warming.  Remember, there was ZERO Global Warming from 1999 until the middle of 2016.  In addition, there was the decline hidden by math trickster Michael Mann who NEVER won or co-won any type of Nobel prize in existence.  Yet, it really did get really cold throughout the 1960s and 1970s.  To deny this is to insult the intelligence of anyone who lived through those two decades.

Question:  Uhmmm, where is the man-man-co2 driven Anthropogenic Climate Crisis, again?

American Sales Training

In American sales training, the trainees are told that one must create a sense of urgency in the potential buyer's mind, in order to make a sale.  The Global Warming Hysteria is the act of scientists trying to make a sale.  They are doing everything they can to create a sense of urgency, allowing school children to be filled with dread, in the process.  

And of course, the goal is to gain massive Congressional funding and/or NGO donations, along with the absolute power one gets when an emergency is declared.  So, the picture constantly being painted by the Michael Manns and John Kerrys of this world is that the world will soon come to an obliterating end, and only they can save it.  So remember, they're too good for you.  You should shut it and say, "Yaas sir" to everything these guys who happen to be white have to say.  They are willing to dictate, but they refuse to debate or to explain themselves to you ... because you and I don't count.

Okay now:  Back to trying to make sense out of the constant declarations of a near-death Earth in an emergency, while the stats, facts, plain sight of  Planet Earth, and its history show the exact opposite to the Declaration of Climate Doom.

Let me try again.  Now show me in this graph where the end-of-the-world, man-made climate crisis is, again?  I'm having trouble finding it.

Okay.  One more try.  How about this chart?  Now, the man-made climate crisis which is causing the immediate end-of-the-world is indicated exactly where here?  Me no can find.

We now bring greenhouse gases onto the scene

Climate Doomsayers mention that co2 levels started to rise at the beginning of the Industrial Age which is defined as having begun circa 1760.  Fair enough.  That was 262 years ago.  Well, science data shows that co2 levels have been rising in the Earth's atmosphere for the past 6,700 years.  

Of course, the rate of rise has advanced significantly in the 21st Century.  Therefore, if you are searching for correlations in the rise in atmospheric co2, look at the significantly advanced growth rate of the human population for the same time span.  Then compare it to co2 levels.  

In fact, compare corn crop harvests to human population growth and to the rise of co2 in the Troposphere.  The graphs' lines look very similar.

In as much, Climate Doomsayers have shown definitive signs of being eugenicists at heart, if not manipulative & pernicious ones in application.  After all, do you deny that these same alarmists see humanity as the great enemy of the Planet Earth?  

Whatever be the case with the psychological components of the typical Climate Doomsayer, the center of each one's activism is Carbon Dioxide, when it should be mercury, residual lead, synthetic chemicals, sulfur dioxide, and the irresponsible stewardship of plastics.  So, let us review carbon dioxide, while first making a quick review of the Earth's Troposphere in general:   

The Troposphere's Dry Composition

Dry composition means that you leave out water vapor from the equation.  Water vapor in the atmosphere exists in varying quantities throughout the Earth, ranging from .2% (2/1,000th) of the Troposphere to 4% (4/100th) of the Troposphere.  Thus, it's a variable, as opposed to a constant.

None the less, cold air is always dry air.  This is counter-intuitive, being that hot deserts are associated with dry air.  Well,  Antarctica is the driest desert on Earth. 

For now, water vapor percentage numbers are omitted from the simplex equation below.  When it's included to the dry composition, it's known as the Mixing Ratio .  The following numbers generally apply at a relatively constant percentage:   

The Troposphere comprises 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen, & 0.93% Argon.  This means that 99.93% of the Troposphere is NOT carbon dioxide.   This furthermore means that co2 is a Trace Gas which is too small in quantity to drive the climate.  In fact, Climate Change has been naturally occurring throughout the existence of the Earth,'s atmosphere, like a roller coaster, despite the level of co2.  

When Climate Change has arrived naturally in years, centuries, and Millennia past, the change has been sudden.  The only possible drivers of such a sudden impact throughout the Earth is either 1} Sun Spot Activity or other solar behaviors which affect the Earth's Magnetic Field or 2} Ocean Oscillation Behavior.  There is no other known factor which would be a candidate in possessing such potential.  

As a pertinent point made in passing, the Sun's Irradiance is NOT a factor, being that it is mostly constant.  Those emissions from the sun which do vary do matter.  At your convenience, look-up Coronal Mass Ejection (CME).  Look up the Milankovitch Cycles.

A Numerical Review  ===>  Firstly, today's level of atmospheric co2 is 418 parts per million, whereas, during caveman days, it was 260 ppm.  In fact, at the end of the most recent major Ice Age, it was 180 ppm.  Today's co2 level translates into 0.042% of the Troposphere.   In as much . . .

 99.93% of the Troposphere (Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon) + co2's 0.042%   =  approximately 99.972%

This leaves us with approximately 0.028% of the atmosphere which is occupied by the following Trace Gases:

1} Xenon, 2} Helium, 3} Hydrogen, 4} Krypton, 5} Neon, 6} the vilified Nitrous Oxide, and 7} the vilified Methane which, at last count, existed in the Earth's 21st Century atmosphere at no more than 1.889 parts per million.    That's One-Point-Eight-Eight-Nine Parts Per Million.   And Nitrous Oxide, as was previously stated, is 1 part per 3 million, aka 330 ppb ... with the "b" meaning, billion.

Water Vapor:  80% of all greenhouse gases by mass and 90% of the same, by volume.

Now, water vapor exists in variable proportions throughout the Earth's atmosphere, due to the differences in temperature, pressure systems, & land elevations throughout the Earth.  It's presence in the atmosphere ranges from 0.2% to 4%.  In fractions, water vapor is  1/500th  to  1/25th  of the atmosphere.

In terms of a fraction, as of 2022, co2 amounted to 21/50,000th of the Earth's atmosphere.  If you were to compare the atmosphere's molecules to a Rose Bowl audience, 78,000 of the spectators would be Nitrogen, 21,000 of the fans would be Oxygen, 930 would be Argon, 42 would be Carbon Dioxide.  Methane and Nitrous Oide wouldn't even make the scene.

The Cirrus Cloud Factor, a Predominant One

At this point, another revelation needs to be repeated ===> Cirrus Clouds possess far more ability to capture / absorb / retain infrared heat than does co2.  The great irony here is that cirrus clouds are entirely composed of ice.  

In addition, the irony about Carbon Dioxide goes as follows, especially in light of the fact that modern activists accuse it of orchestrating a conspiracy to heat the world to the point of destruction:  In its liquid state, Carbon Dioxide is commercially used as a  . . .  refrigerant.

Inconvenient Goof

Concerning the large CO2 graph that Al Gore presented to the audience at the beginning of his first science fiction movie, that which actually is shown is that temperature first rises.  Then co2 levels follow ... in terms of centuries later.  The rise in air temperature comes first.  Then the rise in co2 follows.

The understanding is that, as the oceans' surfaces warm, evaporation occurs, and more co2 molecules are released into the air.  But, the warming of the ocean comes first.  All in all, claiming what Al Gore claimed about temperature & CO2 . . .

          . . . is equivalent to claiming that "the steering wheel moves the driver's hands."

Now remember, co2 levels have been rising for the past 6,700 years.

 Concerning that time or two when you heard someone say, "If they could tax you for the air you breath, they would do it."   Remember that, the climate doomsayers are trying to do this in the inverted way.  They are trying to tax you for the air you exhale, proverbially speaking.  Well . . . 

The average human exhales 2.3 lbs (circa 1 kg) a day --- 839 lbs a year x 7.9 billion humans = 6,628,100,000,000 lbs  = 3,314,050,000 US Short Tons per year.  It might sound alarming, but 'tis no big deal in the grand scale of the massive-sized Troposphere.  Don't let anyone spook you into Eugenics.

 Most Important Feature of co2 as it Applies to Infrared Light

CO2 has three varying vibration modes, concerning polarity which, in co2's case, is dipolarity.  In one of those three vibrations, co2 is incapable of capturing infrared heat.  This is how & why there can be an ice age during a time when co2 levels are 9 times higher than today.  Such a thing actually happened on Planet Earth.  During the Ordovician Ice Age, co2 levels were more than NINE TIMES HIGHER than they are today.  This negates the Al Gore & John Kerry assertion that rising co2 levels raise the temperature commensurately.

Extremely Important:   CO2 Vibration Modes   <=====

And remember, it has been recognized that the radiative forcing of co2, when it can capture infrared heat, is 3.7 watts per meter squared.  That's a night light.  After all, CO2 is plant fertilizer ... NOT jet fuel.

The True Correlation, or lack thereof, between co2 and land surface temperatures:

 In contrast to the predictions of doom, it has been repeatedly observed that, as the co2 levels on Earth rose throughout the 20th & 21st Centuries, the life expectancy of humans also rose throughout the world.  And amidst the political damning of life-giving co2, the Earth has been increasing its acreage of greenery, as well as enjoying rising crop harvest numbers & record crop harvests.  In as much, if you want to go green, you must first increase the co2 level in the Earth's atmosphere.

All in all, Carbon Dioxide replaced the Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction, as an excuse for creating fear amongst Americans.  The Weapons of Mass Destruction Scare was in 2003 & 2004  The CO2 Global Warming Scare started with the first Al Gore movie, in 2006.  Ever-so-Coincidental Timing.

A 1,700% population increase in the cactus-arrayed desert called Arizona & Nevada. And news reporters wonder where the man-made lake water went.

We start the conversation with the largest desert on Planet Earth

Concerning the illustration above, take note that East Antarctica's contribution to sea level rise was negative digits until at least 2016 or 2017.  In 2015, Antarctica had its highest amount of sea ice extent.  So, that accomplished the opposite of sea level rise.

Meanwhile, the sea level rise contribution from elsewhere in the Antarctic was embarrassingly minuscule, since 1995.  The end-of-the-world claim that the oceans are rising at catastrophic rates has been all hype, all the time, since the release into classrooms everywhere in America the sophomoric and non-factual Al Gore movie of 2006.

Keep in mind that scientists are salesmen, looking to get funding from the US Congress, the UN, a corporate NGO here, a 501(c) NGO there, and even grassroots fund-raising.  They think that, in order for them to make a sale, they need to create a sense of urgency in the minds of the holders of the largest of purses.  Thus, all of the end-of-the-world, sea-level rising, world-catching-on-fire hype has been nothing more than a money-grab game.  He who lies the most gets the most money.

In this game of obscenely high national debt, the Youth of America loses.  Look and see how much debt was accumulated in such a short amount of time by people who claimed to care about "the children."  They have given American children Instant Bankruptcy.  In addition, the graph below is more steep than the co2 graph that Al Gore paraded around various TV studios ... during the Global Warming Pause which necessitated East Anglia scientists to change the name of their sales pitch to "Climate Change."

Proof that politicians & scientists didn't take their "climate crises" monologues seriously consists in the fact that multiple celebrities purchased beachfront property, despite ranting that sea level rise is soon to be catastrophic. 

Sea level rise?  What sea level rise?  It was reported as having been 8 to 9 inches in the past 140 years.

Barrack Obama, himself, purchased a multi-million dollar Martha's Vineyard mansion on the Atlantic Coastline, a mere 3 ft above sea level.  You can easily walk from the front door to the shoreline.  Thus, Obama didn't believe that the oceans' water levels were rising in any catastrophic pace.  He invested millions of dollars next to an ocean.  That Martha's Vineyard mansion, incidentally, constitutes Hypocrisy Central.

All in all, a 1.5C increase throughout a 100 year period which occurred directly after 500 consecutive years of Global Cooling, in a phase of time called, the Little Ice Age, isn't the end of the world.  After all, crops grow in warm weather ... not in fields of ice.

The years of my ancestors' Roman Empire was found ... through Mediterranean proxy evidence ... to have transpired at an average temperature of 2C higher than today.  Things didn't collapse in the Western sector of that empire until the 470s.  So, there were approximately 500 years of Global Warming during the days when no combustible engine existed ... and when co2 levels were 138 parts per million lower than today.

We now proceed to inland water levels in a vast desert that contains cacti that remind us of its natural drought features.

Here's a quick update on the Lake Mead water level which was showcased by the commercial media in 2022 as one of the five signs of the End of the World (unless we hand over 1/3 of our yearly income and all of society's behavioral control to Michael the Decline-Hider Mann and Jim the Air-Conditioning-Repairman Hansen, as well as to Bill Thermohaline Nye.)

First, we need to be reminded of the much belated news dating back to the 1930s.  It's history, but to today's 10 second sound-byte fed public, it's news to them:  {1} Lake Mead was put into operation around 1936.  Yet, it was still filling-up in 1937.  None the less, the 1940 US census marked Nevada as having had a population of 113,000.  That was literally the stadium attendance of the October 11, 2014 football game between Penn State and Michigan.  

As of the 2020 census, Nevada was marked as having a population of 3,114,000.  This means that there are 27 times MORE people in need of water in Nevada today than during the first years of Lake Mead's operation.  For those in the American public school system, this translates into 27 times more demand and usage of water ... in a desert filled with various types of cactus.  Add to the equation the water needs of cattle, horses, and house pets.

In like fashion, the 1940 population count for Arizona was 499,000.  As of the 2020 census, the Arizona population was 7,100,000.  This means that 14 times MORE people are in Arizona in need of water today than in the first years of Lake Mead's operation.   

This also means that there are 9,600,000 more people in need of water in Nevada and Arizona today than in 1940.  Do you think that co2 was drinking all of that Lake Mead water?  Well, the human population of Nevada and Arizona today is 10,214,000 vs the 613,000 which existed in 1940.

There is also the matter of Colorado River water being delivered to the Morelos Dam, in Mexico, (as a result of a 1944 treaty).  

The treaty designated 1.5 million acre-feet per annum from the United States to sovereign Mexican territory where within are people in need of water.  It's the amount of water needed to cover one acre of land 12 inches deep, one and a half million times within one year's time.

The human expansion into Arizona and Las Vegas was a gamble.  (Pun not intended.) Lessening the amount of co2 molecules in the air isn't going to get water to the 25 million desert people dependent on Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam.  Increasing Yankee Ingenuity will do so. Take note that Al Gore is a Southerner, and NOT a Yankee.  He's out of his league.  

Also take note that Al Gore is a politician and NOT a scientist.  After all, he was the one who said in front of Conan O'Brien that the center of the Earth is millions of degrees Fahrenheit, when it's between 9,800F and 10,800F.

It's absolute fraud to claim that the lack of water in a cactus-filled desert is the sign of catastrophic Global Warming (Climate Change).  The lack of water in Arizona is a sign that it actually is a cactus-filled desert.  Period.  So, remember the cacti, my students, and you will be reminded of the fraudulent dishonesty of the Climate Hysteria Profiteers.  And of course, Flagstaff & the Coconino Forest, Prescott National, and the lane of land called the Santa Rita Mountains are exceptions to the general Arizona landscape ... cactus-scape.

Lake Mead Update

Water has been returning to Lake Mead to the point where crews had to adjust a dock's boat ramps to a higher level.  So, the water level has increased at Lake Mead (Northern Arizona.)   The media is not reporting this with any air of hopefulness.  The media message is that we are using "fossil fuels" and we're all gonna die.  Yet, 90% of all greenhouse gases (by volume) have ZERO CARBON footprint.

Being that London was claimed to be on fire, on account of co2:

Newsflash:  Fires in the London Area did NOT suddenly start in the Summer of 2022.  Concerning the 2010s, it was in 2014 when the London Fire Brigade announced that the number of Greater London Area fires had been cut to almost half since the 1980s & 1990s.  Three years later, 2017 would be the year of the least number of London Area fires --- 17,993.  

There were years from 1966 to present when the Greater London Area had 50,000+ fires, 40,000+ fires in a single year each year.   Yes, fires are that common in Greater London and many other places throughout Planet Earth.  Meanwhile, co2 remains rare in the atmosphere, at less than one-half of 1% of the Troposphere and Stratosphere.  Here: Lookie see how deceptive the 2022 commercial media is.  This official graph is opposite of the "London-on-fire-due-to-co2" assertion of charlatans.

We now adjourn to Greenhouse Gases

Here's an irony or two about greenhouse gases (GHGs), in relation to today's blatant and sophomoric propaganda:

Firstly, the most abundant GHG is water vapor.  Secondly, the most powerful one is something known as Sulfur Hexaflouride.  It's 2,200 times more powerful than co2.  The irony is that it has ZERO CARBON footprint.  In addition, it only exists in the Troposphere at 10.5 parts per TRILLION.  It increases one part per trillion every three years.

In addition to sulfur hexaflouride, there is nitrous oxide which also has ZERO CARBON footprint, even though it's 330 times more powerful than co2.  Yet, it only exists at 1 part per three million, in the air.  Needless to say, water vapor has ZERO CARBON footprint, also.

We have been observing Grand Larceny via Theft by Deception since 2006.  The fraud became blatant in 2009, with the Climategate Emails.  Yet, the brainwashed youth of today ... or those who want to cash-in on Climate Crisis hysteria ... defend the emails to the death.  They don't realize that the US Congress put the American youth into an obscenely high & life-long national debt ... in the name of going green.  

The greatest irony is that, if you want to go green, you must increase the catalyst of photosynthesis.  Ever-so-coincidentally, the catalyst of photosynthesis is CO2.  Politicians want to kill off the one thing that causes everything to go green.

After these 22 Blue Marble Album climate articles (with 4 additional ones on the way)  --- and with the aid of numerous government docs, newspaper archives & history chronicles  --- do you see a pattern of deceit transpiring throughout the United States?  Do you see how much of a sophomoric con job this "climate crisis" hysteria is?  

After all, the etched hunger stones of the Elbe River show that severe droughts existed repeatedly, during years when co2 levels were 108 to 138 parts per million LESS than today.  The years of severe heatwave and drought included 1417, 1473, 1616, 1666, 1681, 1707, 1746, 1778, 1790, 1800, 1811, 1830, 1840, 1842, 1847, 1850, 1857, 1858, 1859, 1862, etc.  There was also the famous Tudor Drought of 1540-41 in the history of Europe.

BTW, did you know that the American Civil War was fought during a drought?  Actually, it was known as the North American Drought of 1856-1865.  And quite frankly 1856 and 1864 were the driest years over-all, with a few years almost exclusively hitting Texas and the Oklahoma Territory hard, with average drought condition elsewhere in other years. None the less, co2 levels were much lower in the 1860s than they are today.  Yet, there was a drought in the midst of all that hatred and hunger and marching and terror and canon fire and surgery and the incendiary March to the Sea, aka the Atlantic Coastline.

In addition, the worst flood experienced by Oregon, Nevada, and Northern California also occurred in 1862.  After all, in a round planet, one man's year of drought is another man's year of flooding. And of course, co2 levels were just as low on the West Coast in 1862 as they were elsewhere; far lower than today.  So, according to the "carbon footprint activists," there shouldn't have been any long-term drought or any major flood anywhere in the 1800s, including 1862.

The Oceans and the claim that they are soon to boil-over.

Concerning the oceans, a certain "peer reviewed" paper that was retracted due to decisive mathematical errors claimed the following:

It was claimed that the oceans were heating 60% faster than originally thought.  There are two reasons why this is instantaneously understood to be a falsehood.  No one had to wait for the faulty "peer-reviewed" paper to be math-checked.  One of those reasons was mentioned on the Blue Marble Album a dozen or so articles ago.  The other one is this:

Above the ocean surface is ====> latent heat.  It's heat that is released by the ocean water, itself.  Thus, the ocean isn't hoarding heat.  It's launching heat into the air, thereby making vapor which gets transferred via wind, eventually becoming cloud masses and ultimately making its way to the colder latitudes of Planet Earth.  Case closed.  Some scientists are such incredible liars.

Let us review:

The oceans are NOT storage vaults of CO2-captured-heat.  They're launching pads of LATENT heat which gets carried away by the wind and which ends up in cooler latitudes

And concerning the amount of co2 in the oceans:  Where there is no infrared heat, there is no greenhouse gas capturing the heat that's not there, in the first place.  Below 656 feet, there is no sunlight in the oceans and no photosynthesis.  At that point, things go from 55 degrees Fahrenheit to 39F, all the way to the bottom, where occasional volcanoes restricted by the massive weight of a massive water basin release some heat and black smoke in a narrowed and organized way.

And of course, co2 is very finicky (selective) about the IR that it does "capture-retain."  Plus, in one of its three "dipole moments", (aka vibration modes --- aka resonance effects), co2 is incapable of capturing infrared radiation, being that it's overstretched to the limit, in that dipole-vibration position.  This was illustrated at the Blue Marble Album already, with pertinent links to brief educational videos having been posted.  Two are posted here.

One is only 45 seconds in length, and it's contents are worth memorizing.  The other one is only 1:10, and it is slightly more detailed, giving an extra section of needed information that can relieve the stress in beginners' minds caused by the end-of-the-world hype spread by the commercial media and the American Public School System.

View the following videos and receive a healthy measure of peace.  After all, propaganda is deadly ... and very bad for your health.  Plus, fear is the #1 impediment to learning.  It's a roadblock to learning ... and to the state of understanding.  So, remember the cacti and enjoy getting unblocked ... and to be bullied by Michael Mann and Al Gore no more.

The Climate Con Artists are at it again, playing games with the calendar

Perhaps you recently noticed it, while browsing through a search engine.  Numerous articles dated the 24th, 25th, or 26th of September 2023 exclaimed that Antarctica had its largest temperature rise in known history.  This included Newsweek Magazine.  The many similar headlines made it instantly seem that, at the end of Antarctica's coldest time of the year --- in September 2023 --- Antarctica underwent its highest temperature rise ever known to mankind, in a week-long heat wave.  

The great deception here was that each one of those September 24, 25, and 26, 2023 Antarctic heat rise news reports was referring to the Antarctic heat rise that occurred during the end of the Antarctic SUMMER of 2022 --- during March of 2022 --- one and a half years ago --- toward the end of the hottest time of the year for the South Pole.  

Those headlines and their affixed dates made it appear that a heat wave is invading Antarctica during its winter.  That's as good as telling people that the End of the World is here.   Thus, if you saw those September headlines while you were in a rush, you got deceived intentionally.  After all, the common person would think that a news report dated September 25th, 2023, is reporting something that happened in late September of 2023 . . . and NOT during March of 2022.

Six months of darkness.  Yet, the news reports are headlined with sunny daylight photos.

The supreme asininity of reporting on Antarctica in the wintertime, in trying to tell people that massive ice loss is evident there, consists in the fact that there actually are 6 consecutive months of darkness in Antarctica.  This is because the sun's orange globe is never seen above the horizon.  So, how can you confidently report on a massive place losing massive amounts of ice if you can't even see the massive place?  

Antarctica is a massive place that is dark for six consecutive months.  Do you understand, yet?  If you see a sunny daylight photo of ice melting on water, then you are not looking at Antarctica in the wintertime.  Chances are that you are viewing a summertime photo.  So, why are there so many Antarctic wintertime ice-melt news articles headlined by sunny daylight photos of ice plates melting on water?

This deception's only possible motive was that of making mankind feel a sense of urgency so severe that it would demand the US government to speed-up the spending of its $370 billion appropriation allotment to certain climate-related entities.  These journalists are crying wolf so often that it has gotten to be instantly annoying.  

It has gotten to the point where the working man and the ranch (homesteader) woman do not want to hear about "climate change" anymore.  This is especially the case, being that the vast majority of humans did NOT experience any type of exceptionally horrifying weather disaster.  People keep hearing about them, but they don't personally see any of them.   Thus, they are "just not feeling it."  As was previously mentioned,  this is a matter of climate con artists hyper-exaggerating weather events to the point of ridiculousness. 

This is what happens when geektoid, nerdo, swirly-boy scientific dweebs attempt to seduce.  They don't have the ingredients for such seduction.  If it weren't for the news entities that ever-so-coincidentally received a measure of donation money from Bill Gates, then the climate con game would have ended in 2009, with the disclosure of the Climategate emails.

There are a lot of pieces of evidentiary support at this site, to show you that "it" (Climate Hysteria) has been a predictable con game, all along.  The motive has been money --- taxpayer dollars, NGO donations, grassroots fundraising drive pledges, and of course ===> United Stated Congressional funding allotments, aka "appropriations.".

Below is a NASA/NSIDC visualization of the state of Antarctica, as of September 27, 2023.  Earlier this month, it was officially declared that the least amount of yearly MAXIMUM SEA ICE EXTENT occurred this September, in 2023.  And of course, climate activists are treating this event as the start of the End of the World.  

Now, the visualization below is that of the lowest amount of Antarctica's maximum sea ice volume.  As you can see, the smallest yearly maximum is still massively large in size. That is to say, the lowest amount is not much different than the yearly median.   The amber line below is the "median perimeter" of sea ice at the end of Antarctic winters.  Median is close to the "average."  Thus, the amber circular line is "the usual" sea ice volume for Antarctic winters.

In the visualization of 2023's sea ice, West Antarctica has more ice than usual.  And of course, it's only slightly more.  Some parts of Antarctica are the same as usual, in sea ice volume.  The other sectors show that there is not that much sea ice loss, in 2023.  All in all, there is not that much difference between the median and the lowest amount.   Yet, the climate activists have to make it look like the End of the World.

Antarctica was repeatedly covered in the Blue Marble Album.  Go read the discourses ... or, at the least, look at all of the evidentiary support in those discourses.  At the least, look at the pictures, charts, and graphs, as well as newspaper headlines from 1936, 1922, 1911, 1901, 1878, 1852, etc.

Journalists today painted Antarctica as a place in a dire mess.  It was painted as a place where ice is melting all over the place.  It's painted as a place where sun tanning is easy to do.  Well, that is, of course, an intelligence-insulting hoax.  None the less, the goal of this post was to show you that the Wintertime of 2023 reports about a massive Antarctic temperature rise involved the temperature rise during the Summer of 2022, a year and a half prior.  It's NOT happening right now.  Yet, the journalists made something that happened a year and a half ago look like it's occurring now --- to scare you.

Climate Amnesia

The Thesis Statement of it all is this:  If you were to cut in half today the Earth's global atmospheric CO2 level --- as well as the 2 ppm Methane level, the 1 part per 3 million N2O level, and the 11 parts per trillion Hexaflouride level --- you would still get hurricanes, inland storms, tornadoes, blizzards, monsoons, mudslides, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, ice calving, ice stacking, icebergs, dust storms, heat waves, droughts, pestilence, and insect crop invasions, as well as tree infections, and Crimson Tide algae blooms --- just like in days past (in decades & centuries past) when the co2 level was much lower than today.  

It would all become a matter of "all that work for nothing."  Then where do you go, in your quest to stop hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods? ... lions and tigers and bears.

Today's media & politicians have willful Climate Amnesia.  Previously on the Blue Marble Album and elsewhere, it was illustrated that extreme droughts, prolonged flooding, more deadly hurricanes, longer heat waves in higher latitudes, etc have been occurring all throughout recorded history.  The years directly following the end of the Little Ice Age (1300 - 1840) are an abundant example.  

One of the greatest causes of Climate Amnesia is Data Tampering.  The observation has been that certain governmental entities lowered the temperatures of the past on paper, to make it seem as if there had been a notable increase in temperature, above & beyond what the same governmental agencies stated in the 1990s & the turn of the Millennium.   It was a matter of two different generations of personnel and management.  And of course, the "tampered" charts & graphs do NOT correlate with the numerous newspaper articles, magazine articles, and chronicles which reported on the weather events in the current time when the events actually occurred.  Take a look at how the graphing has changed:
