Part 4: A Catholic religious order dedicated to paying hostage ransom to Muslim Captors

Now remember, the FIRST & SECOND COUNTS of the introductory NUREMBERG TRIALS was CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT WAR OF AGGRESSION, as well as committing WAR OF AGGRESSION.  This was otherwise known as Crimes Against the Peace.  

Well, Muslims have been committing such crimes of aggression since its very beginning.  Zoroastrian Persians were attacked.  Indian Hindus were attacked, too.  And of course,  Catholics were attacked, attacked again, and attacked some more, century after century after century.  

All in all, from its beginning, Islam has been a brutal menace to mankind.  As far back as 711 AD (or CE), the Muslims attacked Catholic Spain.  Then, for 700+ years they controlled the provinces of ~Almería, ~Cádiz, ~Córdoba, ~Granada, ~Huelva, ~Jaén, ~Málaga, and ~Seville.  Spain was not fully liberated until 1492.  That's 781 years of Occupation & Oppression ... done by Muslims upon the victimized Roman Catholics in Spain.

 

All in all, Christianity had to either counterattack the Muslim Aggressors or completely die.  On occasion, they were given the opportunity to be those second class citizens, called Dhimmi, who had to pay a submission tax, called the Jizya.   This option was basically the SLOW DEATH.

This Jizya was basically protection money and/or extortion.  Sometimes, it was regarded as a tribute.  It was forced upon Christians and other non-Muslims, under penalty of attack and death.  

As another example of early Muslim Aggression, the Muslims were violently trying to bring France into submission as far back as the 700s, during the days when the western part of the land was called Aquitaine.

Odo the Great ... Duke of Aquitaine ... and Charles Martel ... the powerful Mayor of Paris ... saved Catholicism in Western Europe from Muslim Military Expansionism.  Yet, Spain remained a captive of the very Muslim Moors who were a part of the Umayyad Caliphate.

Step by step, Spain regained its independence.  None the less, even into & including the Year 2024, Muslim nations outright persecuted Christians.  This included the Catholics and Protestants in Nigeria today.  Meanwhile, western nations welcomed their Muslim persecutors into their high-tech nations which had been based on Christianity throughout the centuries.  

In addition, the Muslims did fail to occupy Constantinople in 717 AD, but they finally conquered it in 1534 AD.  As a result, Russians decided to build a new city, far away from the Muslims.  The Russians called that city, the New Rome.  That city is MOSCOW ... "Москва."   It was named after the Moskva River.

Now, in the Year 1066, the Muslims invaded and conquered Toledo, SPAIN.  Then came the Battle of Manzikert, in 1071, when the Muslims once again attacked a Christian land and occupied it.  This was in Southeastern Türkiye.  

This triggered the need for some type of Crusade which was said to have begun in 1095 CE.  The reality is that the successful Crusades began in 1085, when Catholic forces liberated Toledo SPAIN from Muslim rule.  This is something that Barack Obama never told you, when he was perniciously damning Catholics.  The Muslims invaded & attacked the Catholic lands first ... for hundreds of years.

In the late 11th Century, the long history of Muslim Expansion was thought to be taking its course back toward Greece.  After all, the Muslims already successfully attacked Byzantine territories in Anatolia, in 634.  They also conquered Cypress in 649.  

Then, in 717, the Muslims placed Constantinople under siege.  Yet, they failed.  So, Greece ... aka Byzantium ... was still a target for the Muslims.  In as much, there was a correct reason for Byzantine Emperor Alexios I to ask Pope Urban II for help, even though the Greek bishops split from Rome in 1054.  That split is called the Great Schism.  Schism means "the scissoring."

The Vicious Irony today

The irony is in a Jewish mayor welcoming Somali Muslims who are taught that Allah commands Muslims to rise-up and kill all Jews everywhere ... including the Useful Idiot Mayor of Minneapolis.  

In fact, it was Somali gunmen who shot an Italian nun/nurse to death six days after Pope Benedict XVI's Regensburg Lecture, where he quoted a Byzantine emperor who mentioned that forcing religion upon a people at the point of a sword, as did the Muslims since 633 CE, was evil.   This murder occurred in the Year 2006, outside of a children's hospital.

That martyred nun, Sister Leonella Sgorbati, was beatified at the Vatican in 2018.  Her bodyguard was also killed in Mogadishu by Somali gunmen, in the same incident.  Sr. Leonella's Memorial Day ... aka Feast Day ... is September 17th.

The Roman Catholic religious order that paid ransom to Muslims, for the release of Christian Captives, as far back as the 13th Century.

The Muslims took a lot of captives as a part of their looting.  Then came 1218, when a Roman Catholic religious order was founded in Barcelona Spain, solely to rescue Catholic captives.  It was known centuries later as the Order of Our Lady of Ransom, being that paying ransom, in order to liberate captive Catholics, was the principle technique of the religious order.  

At the time of its founding, that particular religious order was officially named the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy.  It's members were-and-are the Mercedarians.

In Catholic religious orders, the members live by three vows, namely the vows of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience.  Well, the Mercedarians took a fourth vow ... that of offering one's self as a replacement hostage/captive, in order to obtain the freedom of an already existing hostage.  It was known as the "blood vow," because it included giving up your life, to free a hostage, if necessary.

Today, in 2025, that religious order still exists in 17 different nations, specifically in the Philippines, the United States, Spain, Italy, and in certain Latin American nations.  

The Fourth Vow

Now, the Mercedarian Fourth Vow has been revised.  In my personal interpretation of the modernized Fourth Vow, it's to basically speak out against social injustice, becoming subject to a number of types of RETALIATION which includes being killed for standing-up for what is right.  

The revised vow furthermore emphasizes coming to the assistance of those close to losing the Faith ... because of threats, harassment, discrimination, lying propaganda, social rejection, persecution, etc.  The revised vow is something similar to this, thereby making that religious order worth existing.

Part 5: Muslim Aggression toward Americans, since the First Barbary War

This Muslim aggression included:  ~Somalis dragging dead Americans down the streets of Mogadishu.  It also included the  ~September 11th, 2001 Airborne Terrorist Attacks in the American skies, as well as the  ~Mumbai India Massacres, in addition to the  ~Boston Marathon Sabotage and the ~12 murders of comic illustrators in Paris, on January 7, 2015, as if Muslims are allow to walk into anywhere they please, and start killing at will.

In the 1780s, as soon as America gained independence from England, Algerian Muslim pirates started boarding American ships, commandeering the ships,  stealing property on board, and kidnapping Christian sailors and passengers alike.  This was because these Barbary Corsairs knew that the American ships were no longer protected by the Imperial British Navy. 

At the time, America could only afford to attempt to resolve the ongoing assaults, by diplomacy.  This included paying "tributes" to Muslims.  

Then came the Thomas Jefferson presidency, when the US president stopped paying tribute to these Muslims. North African Muslim pirates, under Muslims lords, kept pirating American ships and taking American hostages, some of whom became sex slaves.  

This resulted in the US Marines being sent to Northern African ... in 1805 ... to liberate the kidnap victims and to subdue the power of the Kingdom of Tripoli.  All in all, at the very beginning of the United States, it was being attacked by traditional MUSLIM MILITARY AGGRESSION. 

In summary ...

...  the Muslim Religion ... aka Islam ... has been a Plague of Locusts upon Christendom, from the start.  The Muslim Religion is an anti-Christian religion, because it's "adherents" spent over 1,391 years trying to destroy Christianity in every way possible ... or trying to make Christians second class citizens who had to pay extortion to Muslims, in the JIZYA .   For the Muslims, it was a matter of attack, attack, and keep on attacking.  

Now, Barack Obama made Catholics look like the demons from Hell.  HOWEVER, no Roman Catholic group ever hi-jacked multiple airliners and flew them into the skyscrapers of a Muslim land.  No Roman Catholic team ever performed 12 mass-shooting attacks in a three-day period, in a large Indian city such as Mumbai.  And no Roman Catholic duo ever performed a bombing at the Boston Marathon.

Concerning this, here is a great contradiction:  In September of 2001, when two hijacked jets crashed into the NYC Trade Towers, how many people within them were Muslim?   That is to ask, when suicide bombers did their many bombings, how many Muslims got caught in the deadly explosions?

Roman Catholic military knight orders started as a response to already-existent attackers of Catholics.  Even though the Teutonic Knights were founded in Acre (Akko) ... which is 80 miles north of Jerusalem ... they were sent to protect people from Lithuanian pagan forces.  Then, after the Lithuanians converted to Catholicism, the Teutonic Knights were eventually disbanded.

Unarmed Missionaries were the ones who expanded Christendom, as in "the blood of the martyrs are the seeds of the Faith."  Saints Boniface, Odilia, and Ursula are example of true martyrs killed for their Faith in Christ.

It's a lie to claim that military forces were sent to expand Christendom.  MISSIONARIES were sent out to expand Christendom, and you cannot deny that the Catholic Church had a lot of unarmed martyrs who were spreading the Faith.  

Catholic military forces were sent to prevent Christendom from being invaded, conquered, and decimated.  Or else they were sent to win back invaded land that was occupied by anti-Catholics.

Becoming Catholic was and is a relatively long process that involves the Catechumenate.  No one instantly becomes a Catholic convert.  Ask today's Catholic converts.  

All in all, putting a sword to someone's neck does NOT result in the person becoming Catholic.  You have to prove that you understand the basic doctrines of the faith and the basic moral precepts of the Church.  You then have to show that you actually want to become Catholic.  That is known as "consent."  

Plus, in Catholicism there is excommunication.  Thus, there were some people whom the church didn't want to join them, until such people reformed for the better.  Thus, it's a lie to claim that Catholics were shoving the Faith down people's throats, at the point of swords.  That's the Muslim Religion that does that.  

Catholics are taught that it's a sin to hijack an airliner and then fly it into a skyscraper filled with unarmed office workers.  Catholics are also taught that it's a sin to explode a bomb at the Boston Marathon.

Catholics are furthermore taught that it's a mortal sin to shoot at Jews who are celebrating Hanukkah in Australia. 

There was a time when becoming a citizen of the United States was a long process.  Well, converting to Catholicism is simply becoming a citizen of the Kingdom of God which "is at hand."  And to those who do NOT believe in Catholicism in any capacity, you have to explain away all of those miracles in the Catholic Church.  

This included the October 13th, 1917 Fatima Portugal Miracle of the Sun, when a rain-drenched region suddenly dried, after people saw the Sun perform a colorful and even slightly terrifying phenomenon.

The fact that everything outdoors dried instantly proves that there was no "mass hallucination" transpiring.  Newspaper reporters went, with the intention to prove a fraud amongst three shepherd children, and then to mock Catholicism.  They ended up reporting the miraculous event with respect.

Oh, and then there is the matter of bleeding hosts, a couple of which were scientifically analyzed, at least in at least three specific hosts which were consecrated at Catholic masses, in the modern era.  The blood on the hosts were found to be AB blood.  

The Shroud of Turin has AB blood on it, too.  However, the rh factor on the shroud was not reported.  This means that the reports didn't mention if the Shroud of Turin blood were AB Positive or AB Negative.

Note:  There are a lot of officially recognized miraculous hosts.  Not merely four.   Such host phenomena date back to 750 CE, with some of the hosts on display, usually in a shrine setting or other consecrated structure.  More than one had cardiac muscle, and more than one had AB blood, presumably AB positive blood.

Jesus said, if you don't believe my words, then believe my works.  These miraculous phenomena are regarded as Christ's works which actually give a message..

And then there is the miraculous Tilma of Guadalupe which contains an image of the Virgin Mary.  The miracles occurred on December 12, 1531, and it was witnessed by a bishop.  

Science found that it has zero brush strokes on it and that it was not sketched in any way.  It looks as new as it was in 1531.  So look up the whole story, before flaring off more atheistic diatribes ... or anti-Catholic rants, etc.

Before 1531, there were about 10,000 native converts in Mexico.  In the immediate years after the 1531 miracle, there came to be 6 to 8 million natives converting to the "Faith of Peter & Paul," and getting baptized in the Catholic Church.

Keep in mind that it was in 1520 to 1521 when Small Pox in Mexico reached the pandemic stage.  Our Lady made her presence known to the traumatized Mexicans ten years later.  

This account began, when the bishop in Mexico city wrote a super important letter to the King of Spain, mentioning the Conquistadors' abuse of the natives.  In prayer, the bishop asked to be given a sign that the king actually read the letter.  The bishop asked for roses to be the sign.  

Well, when Juan Diego returned to the bishop, he had roses in his tilma.  He opened up the tilma, so that the roses could fall on the bishop's desk.  Then the bishop saw the miraculous image.  

Roses didn't bloom in December in Mexico City, during the Mini Ice Age which lasted from 1284 CE to 1840 CE.  The bishop received his message in 1531.   December 12th is still honored ... and/or celebrated ... in Latin America.

We now adjourn to a reminder of how vicious, ungrateful & lawless Somalis have been.  We begin with the reminder that, in 2025, sixty Somalis have thus far been CONVICTED FOR FRAUD, due to Minnesota's absence of due-diligence when it comes to taxpayer dollars.  There has also been whistleblower allegations against Somalis in Maine.    

Concerning the Feeding Our Future fraud alone, 79 Minnesota Somalis, out of 87 defendants in all, have thus far been indicted in federal criminal court, alone.  In fact,  one restaurant which personally promoted by the Smiling Liar, Ilhan Omar, was owned by a Somali migrant who claimed that he gave 18,000 meals to the poor.  He actually provided zero meals.   And yes, it's true that Omar had her election victory celebration at a restaurant whose owner ended up being one of the indicted Minneapolis fraudsters.

As a New Year's Eve 2025 update, in all of the Minnesota Fraud cases in Federal Court, 98 persons have thus far been indicted, with 85 of them being Somalis ... or Somalians.  Thus far, 60 of the defendants have been found guilt in court.

The Feeding Our Future program started in 2017, and the amount charged to the government was $37,000.  That's 37K.  And of course, that's reasonable.  Then came COVID.  In 2020, alone, a quarter billion was charged to the government paymasters.  And yes, the line-item tables below are not clearly in focus.  But they're legible enough for you to realize that Americans have been told very little more than lies ... for decades.

Now, the amount of taxpayer theft committed by Somalis is at least $1 billion.  In 2021, alone, an additional $200 million was stolen in the Feeding Our Future program.  Then came Minnesota's Housing Stabilization Services, where Somali fraudsters sent fake invoices from fictitious companies, for services never rendered.  

In 2021, the Minnesota HHS was charged $2.6 million by the Somali racketeers.  In 2022, it was $42 million.  In 2023, it was $74 million.  Then, in 2024, Somalis defrauded taxpayers, to the tune of $104 million, in that one racket, alone.  Even CBS reported on this in July of 2025.  Thus, it WAS NEVER  a mere conspiracy theory.   It was a real racket.

As far as goes the Autism-related Medicare fraud, in 2018, Somali racketeers charged the US government $3 million for fake diagnosis and services never rendered.  By 2023, Somalis were charging the government $399 million.

Then came 2025, when Omar stated, "When I think of Stephen Miller and his white supremacist rhetoric, it reminds me of the way the Nazis described Jewish people. "  

Ladies & gentlemen, Stephen N. Miller is an Ashkenazi Jew whose great grandparents escaped the Holocaust.  In fact, he attended the Beth Shir Shalom Hebrew School, in Santa Monica, California.  So, take note that Omar called an articulate Jewish man an antisemite.  This was equivalent to calling Archbishop Fulton Sheen an anti-Catholic.   

Omar is merely thinking of any lie she can fabricate, to deceive Americans into believing that she and the billion dollar Somali thieves are the victims of the crimes they perpetuated, hoping to takeover America and place it under the total submission of Islam.  

In my "private citizen's opinion" of public figure Ilhan Omar, she IS a dedicated liar, intent of deceiving America into Islamic submission.  And my private citizen's opinion is protected under NY Times v. Sullivan, 376 USC 254 (1964.)

BELOW:  There is also the matter of a Somali migrant serial rapist in Minnesota who got away with no prison time.  Then came yet another rape, with a kidnapping and gang rape added.  The feds stepped in, being that Minnesota is in a state of lawlessness.

Below are the reports of a physically ugly 39 year old Somali whose rape victim would soon be pronounced dead.   He raped her 4 times on the steps of a Protestant church in the American Bible Belt.  This is how Muslim males disrespect Christianity.   They literally see it as empowering Islam, when Christianity gets desecrated in a vile way.

Q: Which people, by their fruits, proved themselves to be kind?  ANS: All the nations which engaged in massive charity work.  This especially includes none other than  1] ITALIANS ... because of Catholicism,  2] the FRENCH ... because of Catholicism of a century or two prior & UNESCO today,  3] THE AMERICANS, squared & cubed.

Added Q:  Which entities do the sexually lawless, politically perverted, and morally depraved "left wingers" condemn the most?  ANS:  1] Catholicism.   2] America.  

Omar comes from a Failed State.  Yet, she has the audacity to tell Americans how to live.  She came from the Land of Death & Wreckage.

The American taxpayer money that the Somalis did receive went to buy yachts, expensive cars, jewelry, luxury homes in America, and coastal resort property in foreign lands.  In as much, the evidence shows that Omar and the disgraced mayor of Minneapolis are liars  How much of this money found its way into their re-election campaign accounts?

Somalis proved themselves to be nothing but vicious and vile.  And of course, respect is something earned.  Concerning this, Somalis of Mogadishu did not treat the lifeless Americans with any respect.  They dragged dead Americans through the streets, repeatedly kicking them.  Somalis proved themselves ... by their actions ... to be the opposite of "nice and kind."  

Their fruits proved them to be heartless and vicious.  Americans need that type of person out of America.  The problem is that, if they are sent out of America, they will simply continue to do their evil somewhere else.  

Minneapolis is a SOMALI CRIME WAVE, and Governor Walz let it happen.  Tiananmen Tim is guilty of either Deliberate Indifference or Gross Dereliction of Duty ... or else he is a willing accessory to the Somali Crime Wave in Minneapolis.  

At the very very very least, Tiananmen Tim Walz and the disgraced mayor of Minneapolis were psychologically infected with the STOCKHOLM SYNDROME.  Or else, they were willing accomplices who looked the other way, solely for Somali votes, come re-election time.

The Inquisition began in 1478 and then terminated in 1834.  There are 356 years of case files still in existence.  They give an account much different than the 1567 horror story pamphlet, published in Heidelberg.  It was one person's account, with zero corroborating witnesses and zero pieces of physical evidence.  Such things are usually called hoaxes.  Sometimes they are called cruel jokes.

As far back as 1994, the world renown British Broadcasting Corporation produced a documentary which surmised that the Spanish Inquisition Horror Story of the anonymous writer, Reginaldus Gonslavius Montanus, was summarily bull crap.  This specifically deals with that one Heidelberg pamphlet of 1567 C.E.

Qualifying Statement intended to shut Anti-Catholics up, until they can fabricate new lies to tell about the Catholic Church

The matter of 15th & 16th Century Spanish-America is a discourse of its own.  None the less, even when there were reports of criminal conduct in the American colonies, it was Christopher Columbus who ended up indicted in 1500 (during his third voyage), prosecuted & convicted.  He appealed.  He then got to take a fourth voyage in 1502.  He then died in 1506.

Once again, Columbus WAS criminally prosecuted and found guilty during his lifetime.  So, cut it out with the "oppressive white man" diatribes.  BTW, Columbus was allegedly Jewish in his DNA.  So, doubly cut it out with the "oppressive white male" diatribes.  

The bottom line is that Columbus was not given a carte blanch, enabling him to do whatever he wanted.  However, in Spanish law there was a matter of gathering physical evidence, in order to convict you.  There were neither cameras nor internet access in those days ... nor fax machines.   So, do the math here as to why Columbus didn't hang from the highest tree branch.  

None the less, after a rocky start, Central and South America eventually became a new nation of intermingling cultures, as opposed to a vast land of segregation.  

In 1537, a pope issued a papal bull (bulletin) which banned slavery in Latin America & in French America.  However, when the cat is away the mice will play ... as in Haiti.  Keep in mind that there were no Swiss Guard in America, upholding papal law.  

Then, Anglo America turned slavery into a divine right.  And of course, Protestant Anglo America which rationalized slavery despised the Roman Catholicism which banned slavery.

To Claim that slavery was started by the Catholic Church which forbade it three times is defamation

A pope ordered the end of slavery in the Philippines, on April 18, 1591, as well.  A number of subsequent popes condemned slavery, even while the very Anti-Catholic Confederate South lived off of chattel slavery.  

But of course, the Protestant South declared all popes to be the Antichrist, even though the Sacred Script prophesies that only one Antichrist was left to come ... in the future.  There were over 260 popes since that prophecy.  So, which pope was the Antichrist?  

ANS:  None of them.   Protestants market Fear of Catholicism, in order to fill up their Protestant church pews and fill their tax-free collection baskets.  After all, American political candidates are known for defaming their opponents.  The anti-Catholicism of Protestant America has always been nothing more than political mudslinging.

A  pope also intervened 16 years before Columbus was even born, concerning slavery in the Canary Islands.   Pope Eugene IV was the one who ordered it to be halted.  See:  Sicut Dudem, January 1435; Against the Enslaving of Black Natives in the Canary Islands.

The Two Previously Mention Ransom Paid to Muslim Captors/Kidnappers

Throughout the Medieval & Renaissance Era, the two religious orders dedicated to freeing the captives of Muslim marauders, by paying ransom to the marauding Muslims, were the Trinitarians and Order of Our Lady of Mercy, also known as the Knights of Saint Eulaia.  Today, it's members are known as the Mercedarians.  That order was founded in 1218 by Peter Nolasco.

At the time, the Muslims had a unguarded route into Greece.  So, the original crusade was done to prevent Greece from becoming overrun by a religion whose main practice was that of invading lands and killing inhabitants who would not submit to the invaders' religion.

The Muslim Moors invaded Spanish land in 711, when Roman Catholics were minding their own business.  The Moors were asked to invade Spain by the Basques who, historically, are not the most charitable people on Earth.  That was 385 YEARS before the first Crusade.  

The same Muslims invaded French territory, while Roman Catholics there were minding their own businesses there, also.  This invasion resulted in the famous Battle of Tours, in 732 A.D. (C.E.).  That was 364 YEARS before the first Crusade.  In fact, Muslims attacked Jerusalem and its Catholic king, in 638 A.D. (C.E.) --- 458 YEARS before the first Crusade .  So, Muslims were invading Christian lands -- and taking Christian slaves --- hundreds of years before the first Crusade (in 1095) ever happened.  

Thus, it is defamatory to claim that, in 1095, the Muslims were minding their own business ... polishing their halos ... when, all of a sudden, the evil evil white European Christians came a coming.  

At the time, the Muslims were slowly approaching Constantinople, and the Muslims already had a track record of invading Northern African, Anatolia, Persia, and Southern European lands, starting in 632 C.E.  Incidentally,  Anatolia is Turkey and Persia is Iran. .  

The Muslims eventually conquered Constantinople and named it Istanbul ... in 1453.  Then came the First Siege of Vienna, in 1529 ... the Battle of Lepanto in 1571 ... and the Second Siege of Vienna, in 1683.

Then, after that military operation, Jean Ribault ... the French navy commander of the area ... ordered an assault upon the Spanish of Florida.  His French fleet was lost in a storm ... aka hurricane.  Jean Ribault was an anti-Catholic Huguenot blown away by the wind.

Spanish Inquisition Timeline    

The Spanish Inquisition existed from 1478 to 1834.  It was established five years before Martin Luther was even born.  It was founded 43 years BEFORE Martin Luther was excommunicated for his unrepentant insistence on adhering to 41 doctrinal heresies, inter alia.   Thus, the Spanish Inquisition was NOT created to execute Lutherans.

Once again, as a quick note:  Concerning Father Martin Luther's 95 Thesis, 54 of those thesis statements were recognized as doctrinally sound ... doctrinally decent ... doctrinally correct.  It was 41 of those thesis statements which were declared heretical in doctrine.

(NOTE for those of you in the American public school system: This does NOT refer to the civil rights activist of the 1960s, named Martin Luther KING.  This discourse refers to the very white, antisemitic, overweight, admittedly flatulent & constipated ale drinker who had a documented "seizure disorder" in the 16th Century.  Therefore, when the Spanish Inquisition was founded, Lutherans didn't even exist.)

This was mentioned, because, when I was speaking of the very white 16th Century Martin Luther once, a product of the American public school system thought that I was referring to the civil rights activist who was shot to death on April 4, 1968.  

That graduate was only 451 years off the mark.  In fact, that person had no idea that there existed a very white 16th Century German man named Martin Luther, in the first place.  Way to go, American Public School System.  Dumbing them down the American Way.

Inquisition Archives

Now, decades ago, the Spanish government opened the archives to the public the same way in which public library contents are made available to none other than . . . the Public.  The BBC took up the Spanish government on its open invitation, and paid credentialed historians to report on their findings, after they scoured --- sifted through --- the Inquisition archives.  

Now, there were 20 tribunals ... which were the same as 20 "district courts."  Thus, there were 20 archives to research.   Once again ... for the sake of convenience, the 1994 BBC documentary is once again linked directly below, for your convenience:

Simply remember that the BBC producers only had fifty-some commercial-free minutes to present their case.  So, there was still a lot to convey on the Spanish Inquisition, all of which shows that the 1567 horror story of Reginaldus Montaus was total bull crap & the defamation of an entire ethnic group sometimes called "Spics."
